HI-ho Hi-ho it's back to Howth We Go

So we decided it was time to go back to Howth, but this time to hike. So Laura, Nicole, Olivia, and I all jumped on the Dart (above ground subway) and headed north ready for yet another adventure.

We arrived yet again, and hoped the rain would stay away. As we made our way up towards where we thought the trail was (Ireland and signs really don't mix) we took a couple wrong turns and found ourselves in the middle of a neighborhood, but quickly got back on track and found the start of the trail.

There is something so wonderful about hiking near water. It makes the cliff faces so much more spectacular, the sailboats that much better, and the walk that much cooler. I really enjoyed that the trail was right next to the water, but was still a safe path.

I loved walking through trail and finding it wind around the outside of this hill/mountain thing but having areas just come out of nowhere that were breathtaking.

We ended up walking the low path up and around then took the top trail back down to town. The trail back down ended up being a road/driveway but it was nice being on top of the hill/mountain are, and just looking all around at the water.

Anyway after making it back down towards the marina again we stopped in at the farmers market. We debated buying fudge or cookies, or some homemade bars, but the three girls all decided on cupcakes. All in all it was another fabulous adventure.

I am looking forward to this coming weekend when we head to Western Ireland. We will be going to Galway, Doolin, The Cliffs of Moer (where the Red Wedding from Game of Thrones was shot) and if the weather stays nice we will being seeing one of the Aran Islands. I am so excited, but very worried I won't have enough space on my memory card for pictures....Anyway stay tuned on sunday/monday for many post and way too many photos!

PS. Sorry mom this was so late I had to edit the photos way to much and you know I couldn't do a blog post without pictures!
